Siyob Bozori

Siyob Bozori features a vast, light blue arched entrance gate decorated with intricate ceramic tiles. It serves as the oldest and largest marketplace in Samarkand, spanning centuries of local trade. Traders once brought spices, silks, and paper along the Silk Road to this exact spot. In the nineteen seventies, the bazaar received a permanent concrete structure to house the vendors. Now, the market floor holds heaps of dried apricots, piles of fresh flatbread, and mountains of salted almonds from the surrounding valleys.
