The House of the Rear Sickle stands out because of the prominent, stone-carved emblem of a sickle mounted high on its facade. Built in the sixteenth century, this structure served as the guildhall for the local sickle makers. During a particularly bitter dispute in fifteen eighty-two, the guild master refused to supply blades to a rival merchant faction, sparking a standoff that closed the nearby market stalls for three full days. The carved sickle remains as the guild's mark of trade.
