La plus petite maison de Paris

A narrow slip of space at number thirty-nine Rue des Panoramas measures barely one meter wide, squeezed between two taller buildings. It holds the title of the smallest house in Paris, though its legal status remains a point of constant debate among neighbors and local historians. Years ago, the ground floor served as a shoemaker shop, while the sliver above provided just enough room for a single person to sleep. Tax collectors eventually stopped counting it as a separate property altogether.
