A long, bright green structure snakes along the edge of the Seine, resembling a giant, coiled sea creature draped over the old industrial river warehouses. Known as Les Docks, this building merges the concrete shell of a nineteen-oh-seven flour depot with a modern glass and steel skin. Architects Jakob and MacFarlane designed the exterior to mimic the flow of the river itself, creating a radical contrast against the gray limestone facades traditional to this part of the thirteenth arrondissement.
