Rue Denoyez stands apart in Paris because its walls change weekly. This narrow, dead-end alleyway in Belleville is a legal canvas for street artists, where layers of spray paint pile up until they crust over the brickwork. It began as a typical gritty industrial lane, but the city eventually granted artists permission to work here. During the height of the movement, the street functioned as an outdoor gallery, yet neighbors often grew tired of the persistent crowds and the smell of aerosol fumes.
