Serre des forêts tropicales humides

park garden

You are approaching a structure that acts as a portal to the equatorial regions of the world. The Serre des forêts tropicales humides, or the Tropical Rainforest Greenhouse, stands as an immersive, climate-controlled jungle encased in steel and glass. Standing seventeen meters at its highest point, the building creates a vertical landscape where you can walk from the dark, mossy floor beneath the canopy up toward the light-filled heights where epiphytes and lianas cling to life. The plants here are organized to show you how a rainforest functions, with trees reaching thirteen meters in height to simulate the dense, competitive environment of the Amazon, African, and Southeast Asian basins.
