Maison de la Radio et de la Musique – Radio France

The building you are approaching is officially called the Maison de la Radio et de la Musique, but locals know it simply as the Maison Ronde, or the Round House. Its circular shape was a deliberate choice by architect Henry Bernard, who designed the complex to centralize the sprawling operations of French national radio. Before its inauguration in 1963, these services were scattered across dozens of different locations throughout Paris. The site itself has a industrial past, as it sits on land once occupied by a decommissioned gasworks and a stadium.
