You are standing before a site known as Le Mur, an acronym standing for Modulable, Urbain, Réactif. This twenty-four square meter panel at the corner of Rue Oberkampf and Rue Saint-Maur serves as an open-air gallery dedicated entirely to ephemeral urban art. While the wall today is a sanctioned exhibition space, it originated from the tradition of wild, unauthorized street interventions that defined this neighborhood in the late twentieth century.
