The building you are approaching is the modern Alhambra, a vibrant concert hall that serves as a direct link to a legendary era of Parisian entertainment. While it opened at this site on rue Yves-Toudic in two thousand eight, it carries the spirit of its predecessor, the famed Alhambra-Maurice Chevalier, which stood just a few hundred meters away for over a century. The original venue began as the Cirque-Impérial in eighteen sixty-six and hosted iconic performers like Maurice Chevalier before its closure and demolition in the late nineteen sixties. This current hall keeps that historic music hall legacy alive through its eclectic programming of jazz, rock, and theatrical performances.
