You are standing in front of Théâtre La Flèche, a small but significant cultural venue that occupies a courtyard dating back to the eighteenth century. When the previous occupant of this site, the well-known Théâtre de la Loge, closed its doors in 2018, director Flavie Fontaine decided to take over the space to prevent it from disappearing. She named the new theater La Flèche, meaning the arrow, to symbolize her commitment to shooting forward into a new artistic adventure despite the risks. With only forty-nine seats, this space is intentionally kept intimate to foster a direct connection between performers and their audience. The theater operates on a philosophy that prioritizes the raw talent of the actor over elaborate sets, believing that a bare stage is the most effective way to spark the imagination of the viewer.
