The Velodrome de Vincennes is a historic cycling stadium located within the Bois de Vincennes. Known locally by its nickname La Cipale, it was built in eighteen ninety-six and served as the primary sports venue for the nineteen hundred Olympic Games. During those early games, the stadium hosted a wide variety of competitions, including gymnastics, rugby, football, and cricket. The venue remains an active sports facility today, keeping its original stands as a listed historical monument.
