Square Georges-Cain

Square Georges-Cain serves as a quiet open-air lapidary museum tucked away in the Marais district. While it functions as a peaceful garden today, its walls and corners are embedded with discarded fragments of Parisian history. You can find stone remains from the original Hôtel de Ville and parts of the Palais des Tuileries, including its clock, which still bear the scorch marks from the fire that consumed the palace during the civil unrest of eighteen seventy-one.
