The Israeli Opera occupies the lower floors of the tall, circular beige tower that rises above the corner of Shaul HaMelech Boulevard. It functions as the home for the country's main opera company, hosting productions that move between classical works and contemporary compositions. In nineteen ninety-four, the company premiered here with a production of Nabucco. Before this dedicated space opened, the opera company operated as a nomadic ensemble, performing in various theaters across the city for years without a permanent stage.
