Beit Sokolov

Beit Sokolov is the four-story building on Kaplan Street with a distinctively stark, white concrete facade that sets it apart from the surrounding glass towers. It serves as the headquarters for the Israel Journalists Association. Nahum Sokolov, the man for whom it is named, was a giant of the Hebrew press who died in nineteen thirty-six. When reporters gathered here in the nineteen sixties and seventies, they shaped the national narrative during some of the country’s most volatile decades.
