Casa ITESO Clavigero

museum

The Casa ITESO Clavigero features a distinct, curved facade of exposed red brick that anchors the corner of the street. Designed by architect Luis Barragan in nineteen twenty-nine, this residence blends traditional Mexican materials with the clean lines of early European modernism. Its most striking feature is the dramatic, winding staircase inside that connects the living spaces without the use of a single support pillar. The house served as a family home for decades before transitioning into a space for cultural preservation.
