The MUSA Museum of the Arts sits inside a building topped with a pair of matching towers that look like they belong on a medieval castle rather than a university campus. It originally served as the administrative headquarters for the University of Guadalajara, finished in nineteen thirty-seven. Architect Enrique Gonzalez Luna designed the structure in a clean, restrained style, but he invited Jose Clemente Orozco to paint the dome of the main assembly hall. Orozco climbed the scaffolding and covered the ceiling in fire.
