Gardener's Cottage (Former)

The Gardener's Cottage sits low to the ground with its dark timber shingles and a steep, flared roofline that mimics the style of a traditional colonial bungalow. Built in nineteen oh three, it provided living quarters for the man responsible for the expansive Government Gardens nearby. While the visitors enjoyed the manicured lawns and exotic blooms, the gardener lived here, close enough to hear the morning steam whistles from the thermal vents and maintain the soil quality for those fragile introduced plants.
