Wat Sri Suphan - Silver Temple

The exterior walls of Wat Sri Suphan are covered in intricate, hammered silver, nickel, and aluminum panels that shine bright white under the midday sun. This structure serves as the heart of a local community known for generations of silversmiths who have practiced their craft in this neighborhood since the Lanna Kingdom era. In two thousand eight, the monks and neighborhood artisans decided to encase the entire ordination hall in these hand-beaten metal sheets, depicting legendary stories and traditional floral patterns across the surface.
