Ponsawan Silver

Ponsawan Silver sits along the Wualai Road, distinguished by a wide, open storefront that reveals shelves packed with intricate, hand-hammered silver bowls and trays. This workshop carries on the tradition of the silversmiths who moved into the Hai Ya district over two centuries ago when they were invited by the local rulers to establish a craft center. The craftsmen here still use traditional chasing tools to hammer patterns into the metal, maintaining a technique passed down through generations of local families.
