Lanna Architecture Center

The Lanna Architecture Center occupies a restored wooden house that sits on a raised stone foundation, recognizable by its dark, weathered teak walls and steep, multi-tiered roof. Built in the late nineteenth century, the structure originally belonged to a wealthy merchant who traded in the local timber industry. Today, the building serves as a space dedicated to documenting the regional design styles that defined Northern Thailand, keeping records of construction techniques that have all but vanished from the modern city landscape.
