Wat Ket Karam

religious

Wat Ket Karam is identified by the white, square-based chedi that holds relics said to be associated with the dog zodiac sign. Founded in fourteen twenty-eight, this temple sits on the east bank of the Ping River in a neighborhood built by traveling merchants. When the monks built the riverside structures, they incorporated glass shards, porcelain plates, and European architectural flourishes donated by the traders who lived nearby. The main hall houses a collection of relics from the diverse communities that once anchored this port.
