Cadogan Square

Before this quiet, exclusive square became one of the most expensive residential addresses in the United Kingdom, the land served a very different purpose. During the nineteenth century, the space where these elegant townhouses now stand was actually a cricket ground. Visitors to the area would often hit balls out of the playing field and into the surrounding open countryside.
