Butler's Wharf

Butler's Wharf stands on the south bank of the River Thames as a giant of Victorian industrial architecture. Completed in eighteen seventy-three, these massive brick warehouses were built to store the immense quantities of tea, coffee, spices, and rubber flowing into London from across the globe. At its peak, this site functioned as the largest tea warehouse in the world, with brokers often inspecting samples of incoming cargo nearby to dictate market prices.
