King Edward Ⅲ Manor House

You are standing near the remnants of a royal residence built around thirteen fifty for King Edward the Third. When this manor was constructed, it sat on a small, marshy island surrounded by water on three sides. The northern edge remained open to the River Thames, which allowed the king to travel directly to his doorstep by boat and moor his vessel against private stone steps.
