St Katharine Cree

St Katharine Cree is the only church in London to survive from the reign of King Charles the First. Most other historic churches in the area were either destroyed in the Great Fire of London or heavily altered, but this building remains a rare example of the transition between Gothic and Classical architecture. You can still see the original sixteen hundred and thirty rose window, which was modeled after the much larger version that once graced Old Saint Pauls Cathedral before it was lost to fire.
