Skipton House stands as a prominent, seven-story office building located directly beside the Elephant and Castle Underground station. Completed in 1993 and designed by the architect Paul Cayford, the structure is instantly recognizable for its dark brown marble cladding and its expansive, glass-covered central atrium. For nearly three decades, the building served as a major government office, housing various departments and agencies, most notably providing a workspace for the Department of Health.
