Royal College of Physicians

The Royal College of Physicians occupies a site with a deep connection to history, standing on land that once served as prime hunting grounds for King Henry the Eighth. Before the modernist structure you see today was built, the plot held Someries House, a grand nineteenth-century mansion designed by the architect John Nash. That older building suffered severe damage during the Second World War, which ultimately led to its demolition and provided the blank slate for the college's current headquarters.
