Girl with a Dolphin

The Girl with a Dolphin statue was created by the British sculptor David Wynne and unveiled on the banks of the Thames in nineteen seventy-three. To ensure the bronze figures captured the fluidity of a real underwater encounter, Wynne spent hours swimming alongside dolphins to study their movements firsthand. He utilized double cantilevers within the structure to support the heavy bronze, creating the illusion of the girl and the dolphin suspended together in a weightless dance.
