Spindrift Inn

other

The Spindrift Inn sits right on the water at the end of Cannery Row, marked by its rounded, white stucco facade and balconies that hang directly over Monterey Bay. It occupies the former site of the Hovden Cannery warehouse. In the nineteen eighties, developers converted the industrial coastal property into this hotel. Guests often wake up to the sound of barking sea lions on the rocks below, a remnant of the bay's natural life that persisted long after the sardine industry faded away.
