Vollmer House

The Vollmer House is an ornate, flamboyant example of Stick-Eastlake Victorian architecture, characterized by its intricate wood detailing and a distinct tower that defines its silhouette. Originally constructed around 1876 for a man named F. Vollerni, the building spent much of its early life as a rental property owned by absentee landlords. Its second owner, John J. Vollmer, was a German immigrant who operated a corner grocery store nearby, lending his name to the residence. Continue
