Takahashi Trading Company

The five-story brick building you see at two hundred Rhode Island Street began its life in nineteen twelve as a warehouse for a farming equipment company. It was designed with a unique trapezoidal shape to fit the triangular plot of land it occupies, which was positioned to sit directly alongside a former railroad right of way. While it served industrial purposes for decades, the structure is now a designated San Francisco landmark, recognized for its role as the long-time headquarters for the Takahashi Trading Company.
