Alex Pangburn’s mural

A massive, hyper-realistic mural of a grizzly bear covers the brick wall here. Alex Pangburn painted the creature in twenty eighteen, using his signature style of merging realistic animal portraits with geometric, chaotic splashes of color. The bear looks out with an intense, steady gaze while neon pinks and blues bleed into the fur. Pangburn finished the piece in just a few days, working with spray paint to force a wild contrast between the untamed animal and the urban grit of the alleyway.
