Federal Fibre Mills Condominiums

The Federal Fibre Mills building wears a weathered, cream-colored brick facade marked by a repetitive grid of tall, arched windows. Constructed in nineteen oh one, the structure functioned as a cordage and twine factory, processing raw hemp and sisal brought up from the nearby Mississippi River. Workers once produced industrial rope here around the clock. By the early nineteen eighties, the factory transitioned into residential condominiums, keeping the original timber columns and heavy brick walls inside as the living space for residents.
