The Sazerac House features a restored nineteen-hundreds facade with intricate iron balconies wrapping around the corner of Canal and Magazine streets. This building serves as a museum and distillery dedicated to the cocktail that shares its name. In the mid-nineteenth century, Antoine Peychaud served his signature bitters here to customers in a nearby pharmacy. The current site honors that legacy, housing a functioning copper still where distillers craft batches of Sazerac Rye, marking the spot where the drink first gained local fame.
