The most distinct feature of Goddard Chapel is the row of ten stained-glass windows lining the nave, each depicting a different world religion. When Mary Goddard donated the funds in eighteen eighty-two, she intended the space to be a non-sectarian home for the entire campus. Her husband, Thomas, had been a prominent Universalist, and the chapel became a place for students to reflect on their own paths. A single, tall, square tower marks the building, rising above the surrounding trees on the hillside.
