207 East 32nd Street

The building standing before you at two hundred seven East thirty second Street began its life in nineteen hundred two as an opulent clubhouse for the Tammany Central Association. Architect Robert T. Lyons designed the structure in the Beaux Arts style, creating what appears to be a compact Parisian townhouse. To achieve this aesthetic, he finished the facade with a rusticated limestone base, two ornamental stone balconies, and a mansard roof crowned by stone lions that still glare down at the street today.
