Little Island Vista Point

Little Island is an artificial oasis constructed directly over the Hudson River on the site of the former Pier 54. Its unique, undulating landscape is supported by 132 giant, precast concrete structures known as tulips. These massive forms, which vary in height from 15 to 62 feet above the water, were engineered to protect the park from flooding while creating a tiered, three-dimensional terrain that rises and falls as you walk across it.
