The thick, timber-framed facade of Cafe Rose Red sits on Cordoeaniersstraat, its dark wood beams and glowing lanterns distinguishing it from the stone neighbors nearby. Inside, the walls hold a collection of hundreds of beer bottles, creating a colorful grid that stretches toward the ceiling. The building dates to the late medieval period, though the bar took its current shape in nineteen ninety-nine. It houses a collection of trapist ales that occasionally confuses even the most experienced drinkers.
