Boniface Bridge

The Boniface Bridge features a low stone arch covered in thick, dark ivy that makes it appear far older than its construction date of nineteen ten. It connects the Gruuthuse mansion to the courtyard of the Church of Our Lady, effectively bridging the divide between the city's private nobility and its religious center. Local residents once referred to it as the bridge of sighs, thanks to the way couples would linger over the water, watching the tour boats pass silently underneath.
