Wat Bo

Wat Bo stands out for its unique blend of architectural styles, featuring a distinct combination of Cambodian and French colonial elements. Unlike many temples in Siem Reap, it houses a collection of rare mural paintings from the late nineteenth century. These frescoes depict scenes from the Reamker, the Khmer version of the Ramayana. Artist Neak Oknha Tep Nimit Thon created these works to preserve local stories, and they remain visible on the interior walls of the main vihara today.
