FCC Angkor by Avani

The cream-colored colonial facade of the Foreign Correspondents Club, or FCC, sits right along the Siem Reap River. Its low-slung, terracotta-tiled roof covers a building that began life in the nineteen twenties as the French governor’s residence. Journalists later claimed this building as their haunt during the decades of conflict in Cambodia, turning it into a sanctuary for writing stories and sharing drinks. It remains a rare, surviving example of the French administrative architecture that once defined the riverfront.
