Alley West

other

Alley West is a narrow, pedestrian-only passage defined by walls draped in thick, hanging vines and glowing strings of paper lanterns. Before the recent transformation of central Siem Reap, this was a quiet residential lane where families kept their bicycles parked against wooden shutters. During the mid two thousands, business owners began renovating the old shophouses into small bars and craft shops. The residents eventually moved out, leaving the alley to the travelers who now crowd the stone path every night.
