Art House

The Art House on Somerset Street West wears a bright, mismatched exterior of wooden slats and painted signage that sets it apart from the surrounding brick storefronts. It functions as a hybrid creative space where locals pay a membership fee to paint, write, or drink coffee in the shared studio. In two thousand fourteen, owner Sarah McCullough converted this narrow building from a standard retail shop into a community hub. She filled the walls with local artwork and kept the furniture deliberately mismatched for comfort.
