Villemin - Mahsa Jîna Amini Garden

The Villemin-Mahsa Jîna Amini Garden features a long, tree-lined promenade that cuts through what was once the site of the military hospital of Villemin. In twenty twenty-three, the city renamed this public park to honor Mahsa Jîna Amini, the young Kurdish woman whose death in custody sparked protests across Iran. Before it became a place for quiet walks, soldiers wounded in the First World War recovered in the wards that occupied this exact ground.
