La Cité Florale

cultural

La Cité Florale sits as a cluster of narrow, winding lanes where every street name honors a flower. The neighborhood occupies a patch of land that once served as a marshy meadow along the Bièvre River. In the nineteen twenties, builders constructed these small, modest houses to provide homes for local workers. Most of the properties retain their original low profile and front gardens, shielded from the heavy traffic of the thirteenth arrondissement by their tucked-away position in the city layout.
