Maison Ozenfant

The Maison Ozenfant features a stark, white facade with an expansive, glass-paneled studio window that wraps around the corner of the building. Amédée Ozenfant, a painter who helped launch the Purist movement, commissioned Le Corbusier to design this house and studio in nineteen twenty-two. It became one of the first built examples of Le Corbusier’s modernist theories, specifically his belief in industrial efficiency and light. Ozenfant eventually grew tired of the cold, minimalist space and moved out after only a few years.
