The Cité internationale universitaire de Paris appears as a sprawling collection of architectural styles, ranging from modernist concrete to traditional Dutch brick, all set within a large park. Founded in nineteen twenty-five by André Honnorat and Émile Deutsch de la Meurthe, it emerged from the rubble of the Great War as an experiment in pacifism through education.
