The eight towers of Les Olympiades rise above the thirteenth arrondissement, each named after a city that hosted the Olympic Games. Built in the nineteen seventies, this complex transformed a former industrial neighborhood of small houses and narrow streets into a vertical district of high-rises. Architects Michel Holley and André Martin designed the towers to function as an independent city, connected by elevated concrete walkways. The tallest of these structures, the Tour Anvers, reaches thirty-eight stories into the Parisian skyline.
