Moulin de la Tour

The Moulin de la Tour in Ivry-sur-Seine is the last surviving windmill in the entire Val-de-Marne department. While its exact age is a mystery, it likely dates back to the Middle Ages. Some researchers point to stones inside the structure inscribed with the year fourteen fifteen as evidence of its ancient origins. By sixteen eighty, it was firmly established as a vital piece of the local Seigneurie, a feudal estate that relied on the mill to grind grain for the community.
