Parc de Choisy

The Parc de Choisy occupies a rectangular stretch of land where a gas factory once stood. Before nineteen thirty-seven, laborers refined coal here to light the streets of Paris. After the plant moved, the city cleared the industrial ruins to create this green space. A series of perfectly straight pathways now cuts through lawns and rows of mature elm trees. The park remains the primary outdoor recreation ground for the dense neighborhoods surrounding it today.
